Chattanooga celebrates during annual holiday street party MAINx24

Pancake breakfast at Fire Station 1 kicks off Main Street festival.

The 11th annual MAINx24 street party starts at 8 Saturday morning along Main Street.

There is a pancake breakfast fundraiser at Fire Station 1. Proceeds benefit the Forgotten Child Fund of Chattanooga, a non-profit run by the fire and police departments. You are encouraged to bring a new toy or coat to donate.

The festival is 24 hours long to celebrate Main Street and the surrounding area.

The parade starts at 10:30.

There is a World Heavyweight Chili Championship at 11:30, followed by the Adult Big Wheel race to support the Children's Advocacy Center of Hamilton County. This is at the Chattanooga Choo Choo from 1 to 4.

Fireworks will be part of this event for the first time. These will be set off starting at 7 p.m.
