Catoosa Co. Sheriff: Woman found dead on Magill Lane may have suffered overdose
UPDATE (Friday, August 22nd):
Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk says the woman found dead on Magill Lane in Ringgold last weekend may have suffered a fatal overdose.
Sheriff Sisk told NewsChannel that Brandi Elliott's parents said she struggled with drug addiction in the past.
Earlier this week, Sheriff Sisk said investigators found no signs of a scuffle or violence at the scene.
He says they are waiting on the results of a toxicology report.

Sheriff Gary Sisk identified the victim as 38-year-old Brandi Jane Elliott of Birchwood, Tennessee.
Sheriff Sisk says Elliott's death is still under investigation.

The Catoosa County Sheriff's Office says they're investigating after a woman's body was found on Magill Lane.
Sheriff Gary Sisk says the woman appears to be between 20 to 30 years old. He says the woman is 5 ft. 5 in. and about 120 to 130 lbs. Officials say the woman has brown hair but it has been colored blonde.
Sisk says a person passing by discovered the body. Deputies are investigating.
Officials say the cause of death is still unknown.
