Police were able to find the child within 50 minutes of when the incident was reported.

Spokesman Rob Simmons says when the car was found, the suspect had run away.

Simmons says that the child appears to be fine, but due to the afternoon's high temperatures he was taken to the hospital for a full checkup with doctors.

Simmons says the suspect faces charges for kidnapping, endangerment, as well as theft if caught.
