Whitfield County Coroner Greg Bates says the body of a 16-year-old boy was found in the front yard of a home on E. Walnut Ave Sunday afternoon.
Bates says a passerby saw the boy lying there and called authorities to check on him.
According to Bates, there is no suspicion of foul play right now.
Authorities have identified the body but are not releasing the name as next of kin has not yet been notified.
Bates says he was not a Whitfield County resident.
The boy's body was sent to the GBI Crime Lab where an autopsy will be conducted this week.
