BlueCross BlueShield donates $250,000 to Red Bank High Future Ready Institute
Hamilton County Students will have more options for high tech education.
On Tuesday, BlueCross BlueShield announced it's donating $250,000 to Red Bank High School's Future Ready Institute.
It's part of the BlueCross Technology Academy. It combines engaging classroom learning with professional mentors to prepare students for technology careers. Superintendent Dr. Bryan Johnson says investment like these are big for the future.
"It is really encouraging to have business partners that understand our futures are in the classrooms and our students are so critical to the future workforce," said Johnson.
BlueCross Tech will officially open for the 2019 school year with around 40 freshman students. Its four year curriculum will combine Future Ready Institute courses with required core classes.
