WATCH: Black Friday draws big crowds to Chattanooga's Hamilton Place Mall
Looking to head out this morning to save during Black Friday?
Hamilton Place Mall opened at 5:30 a.m.
"We got here at 3:30," said Daniel Wingard, who was first in line.
The longest line inside Hamilton Place Mall formed at Victoria Secret's 'Pink' store.
The hot items? Sherpas.
They are warm fleeces that usually sell for up to $90, now just $35.
Sarita Lewis made it out with some.
"I have about three or four of the hoodies and about four pairs of the fleece leggings," she said.
Shopping on Black Friday is nothing new for Lewis. She has done it for at least 20 years.
"Just got to get in," she said of her strategy.
"Fit in with the gets-ins."
It is expected to be a record-setting Black Friday crowd at Hamilton Place, according to the mall's marketing director Taylor Bostwick.
"The National Retail Federation says holiday sales will be up for to five percent," Bostwick said.
"We don't know what that means in terms of crowd but we do know people will be here."
We're told no one was hurt during the chaos, including the employee who saved herself by jumping on the Sherpa shelf.
The mall is set to close at 10:00 p.m.
