Suspect in Chattanooga bank robbery identified, in custody
UPDATE (Monday, Feb. 4):
Chattanooga Police say a man who robbed a bank on Gunbarrel Road last month before changing his appearance has been identified and is in custody.
CPD said Monday that after the robbery on Jan. 7, Nashville Police told them Edward Jack Gibbs was arrested on outstanding federal probation violation warrants.
CPD says robbery charges are pending against Gibbs.

The Chattanooga Police Department wants your help identifying a suspect involved in a bank robbery that happened on Monday at BB&T Bank, at 2120 Gunbarrel Road on January 7.
Police say the man entered the business, demanded money from a teller, and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Investigators determined after the suspect left the bank, he altered his appearance by shaving his facial hair and changing his clothes.
Surveillance cameras show the suspect during the robbery and soon after the robbery.
During the robbery, the suspect had a beard and was wearing a long-sleeve blue pullover shirt, blue camouflage pants, black baseball cap, sunglasses, and white shoes.
Soon after the robbery, the suspect did not have a beard and was wearing a short-sleeve white shirt and light blue shorts.
The suspect has tattoos on his arms and chest, approximately 5'10" in height, and weighs 160 - 170 pounds.
