Whitfield County Sheriff: Woman charged with murder, meth possession after shooting father
Monday afternoon, Sheriff Scott Chitwood has released a statement detailing new information about the incident that led to Hannah Henderson's arrest.
In the statement, Sheriff Chitwood says deputies found 50-year-old George Henderson dead at the scene with several gunshot wounds.
"Preliminary investigation revealed that Hannah Henderson and George Henderson, Hannah's father, were involved in a physical altercation over allegations that George Henderson molested Hannah's child," says Chitwood.
"The evidence collected at the scene did not support Hannah's accounts of what transpired leading to the shooting of Hannah's father."
Hannah Henderson has been charged with murder - family violence, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of methamphetamine.

Whitfield County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a woman who they say told dispatchers that she shot and killed her father early Sunday morning.
According to the arrest report, Hannah Henderson called 911 Sunday, telling a dispatcher that she shot her dad, George Henderson.
Detectives say she and her father got into a fight after she accused him of molesting her child.
Officers arrived and found him with a gunshot wound to the head.
Hannah Henderson has been charged with murder, and has been taken to Whitfield County Jail.
