It's been a deadly few days on Chattanooga roadways.

On Tuesday, a man died while riding a motorcycle after officers say someone hit him on Hixson Pike.

It was the second crash and third fatality just this week.

On Wednesday, Chattanooga law enforcement and the Tennessee Highway Patrol held a 'Traffic Safety Emergency briefing' at Erlanger to remind people to be safe.

"The Chattanooga Police Department, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol are committed to making sure everyone arrives alive," said THP Lieutenant John Harmon.

Chattanooga Police say there typically aren't a lot of motorcycles out during the winter months.

However, they ask that drivers watch out and use caution if they are on the road.
