Chattanooga police have arrested six men after a reverse prostitution sting.

CPD spokesman Ayriel Novak says members of the Narcotics and Vice Units held the sting at a number of different addresses in the East lake area Wednesday.

The following suspects were arrested and charged:

  • 18-year-old Jhony Eddy - patronizing prostitution
  • 65-year-old Thomas Eugene Yarborough - patronizing prostitution
  • 48-year-old Thomas Mon - patronizing prostitution
  • 35-year-old Walfre Garcie Martinez - patronizing prostitution
  • 67-year-old William Harp - patronizing prostitution, indecent exposure
  • 64-year-old Dennis Terry - patronizing prostitution

The Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) 39-13-512 -- 39-13-515 defines patronizing prostitution as "soliciting or hiring another person with the intent that the other person engage in prostitution, or entering or remaining in a house of prostitution for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity."

It defines prostitution as "engaging in, or offering to engage in, sexual activity as a business or being an inmate in a house of prostitution or loitering in a public place for the purpose of being hired to engage in sexual activity."

Patronizing Prostitution is a Class A misdemeanor.
