UPDATE (Saturday):

East Ridge Police say Lanoir Street is back open.

Tennessee American Water (TAWC) says a 6-inch water main break led to a flooded street in East Ridge Friday afternoon.

It happened on the 700 block of Lanoir Street.

TAWC spokesperson Daphne Kirksey says they have called in crews, and that police are on scene due to the amount of water in the road.

Kirksey told us around 6 p.m. that the break was not affecting service, but it would once they start making repairs. She expects disruptions to be minimal.

As of 9:15 p.m., East Ridge dispatch told us the road is still closed to traffic.

Depend on us to keep you posted as we learn more.
