Riverbend lineup is out and tickets are on sale now
Tickets for Riverbend Festival 2020 are now on sale.
Mickey McCamish, director for Friends of the Festival says so far they've sold a few hundred.
Just last week, organizers announced their lineup for the 2020 lineup next May.
Those artists include:
- Ashley McBride
- Blackberry Smoke
- Brothers Osborne
- Christone "Kingfish" Ingram
- Cody Jinks
- Darius Rucker
- Here Come the Mummies
- Mavis Staples
- Ohio Players
- Ray Wylie Hubbard
- Samantha Fish
- The Cadillac Three
- The Record Company
- The Revivalists
- Todd Snider
- Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue
If you plan to attend expect some changes including saying goodbye to the iconic barge.
McCamish says it was costly and disconnected artists with the audience.
"The artist or 35 feet up in the air and for some of the artists they didn't like being up that high and they were 60-70 feet away from the people," McCamish said.
Organizers say the RFID system is returning this year as a means of admission and making purchases. They will be offering cash bars in two locations for those who prefer to use cash.
Friends of the Festival Marketing Director Amy Morrow says the 2020 festival will also feature the return of group admission discounts. Businesses or groups who wish to purchase 20 or more admission wristbands can do so at a discount. Purchases of 100 or more wristbands will snag the most savings. The pricing will reflect prices similar to the discounts enjoyed in the past.
Two months ago, organizers announced a new partnership with the Songbirds Museum, along with new leadership.
McCamish says children 10 years and younger will be able to get in for free.
"We are hoping that these changes will cause people to want to come down to Riverbend festival and that more families will want to come out," McCamish added.
The festival takes place from May 27th through May 30th next year.
