The newly-elected Hamilton County commissioner for District Five says she's ready to serve.

Katherlyn Geter narrowly beat incumbent Greg Beck in the primaries Tuesday night by just 15 votes.

Part of her campaign was pushing herself as a champion of change.

"A champion I feel like is someone that is a people's person. and that is a person that can go in and connect with people. and can be that champion for the needs of the people," Geter told us.

No Republican is seeking that commission seat.

Geter will run unopposed in August.
