Students decorate East Chattanooga traffic cabinets
Students from Orchard Knob Middle and High, Brainerd High School, and Hixson High Schools helped decorate city traffic cabinets Thursday.
The cabinets hold important systems for managing things such as traffic lights.
More than 130 students participated. Of those, six designs were chosen.
The pictograms show a path between a battery, representing a student source of power, and a light, representing the results of student efforts to impact a societal problem.
The pictograms along with a letter were sent to national and local political representatives in an effort to advocate for students' causes.
