Chattanooga firefighters saved a kitten from certain death after it got stuck in a car engine Wednesday.

The car was parked at the V.A. clinic off Brainerd Road.

Battalion Chief David Thompson Jr says firefighters had to remove several engine parts, but were finally able to pull the kitten free.

Firefighters say the kitten seemed to no worse for the experience.

That's one more life this cat will get to live thanks to Chattanooga firefighters!
