Area shelters overflowing with kittens

Local shelters are overflowing with kittens.

Area shelters including McKamey Animal Center and the Humane Educational Society are overflowing with kittens. Katie Christie with McKamey Animal Center joined GMC Weekend Saturday. She brought with her two of approximately 300 kittens they have living at McKamey right now.

They are hosting a Kitten-thon Saturday in hopes to get more of the cats and kittens adopted. All adoptions (fees are waived) include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, medical examination, flea preventative, de-worming, and FeLV test. Kitten-thon is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Nooga Paws in Chattanooga.
