CHATTANOOGA, Tn. — In the Price of Freedom we honor the life and service of a man who spent his just about his entire life serving his country and others.
Jim Shull passed away on October 13.
Mr. Shull was a Navy Corpsman in Vietnam. Those memories stayed with him his entire life.
He came home and was in the reserves.
He later went back to war in Desert Storm before retiring in 1992.
After his service he worked honoring veterans at the end of their lives with Hospice of Chattanooga.
We told his story in September 2013. It was the 5th story we ever did on our Price of Freedom series that we've been doing for more than 9 years.
Mr. Shull was honored with many awards and medals during his life.
That includes the Navy Achievement Medal for professional achievement.
He was laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
