A new WWII exhibit is now open at the 6th Cavalry Museum.

A new unique WWII exhibit opens this weekend at the 6th Cavalry Museum in Fort Oglethorpe.

The exhibit features artifacts that were discovered in Latvia from the Eastern Front of WWII. The artifacts were excavated and brought to the museum by Dr. Steve Nicklas a professor at the University of North Georgia.

"What you are seeing here is not being shown anywhere in the country,' Chris McKeever, Executive Director at the 6th Cavalry Museum said. "This is totally unique, and it's here in Fort Oglethorpe."
