Honoring the life and service of WWII Veteran Tony O'Rear
Alf Rhea "Tony" O'Rear was drafted into the Army in 1942.
He stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day and faught at the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium.
He told me about the war, "I'm proud to be with the Greatest Army in the World."
We told his story in February 2018.
Mr O'Rear passed away on May 4, 2018. He was 95 years old.
Visitation will be Thursday and Friday at the Red Bank Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
4-7 pm Thursday, May 10 and from 11 am to 12 pm on Friday, May 11.
Mr O'Rear will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
