Army veteran in Chattanooga creates a directory to help other veterans find resources
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Veterans across the country often struggle in many ways when their military careers are over.
They have the challenges all of us face, in addition to the trauma from their service as well as challenges faced before they enlist.
And this is just part of the story.
Melissa Anne is a veteran living in Chattanooga who served as an Army medic.
She is also a Gold Star wife and a mother.
Melissa recently has been working to put together a directory called Veteran Aware.
The site says the resource is a directory created for veterans by veterans.
The website helps veterans find resources that are often hard to find sometimes because people don't know where to look.
