SUNNY END TO THE WORK WEEK

A freezing start to the day Thursday with morning temperatures ranging from the upper 20s to lower 30s. Sunny to partly sunny through the afternoon with temperatures about "normal" for mid/late February with highs in the mid 50s (upper 40s local mountains). Cold again Thursday Night as temperatures drop back into the low/mid 30s. This means that many areas away from the city could again drop below freezing. Friday looks sunny and a little warmer with afternoon highs in the low/mid 60s (upper 50s local mountains)

SOME SHOWERS SATURDAY

Clouds should quickly move back in for Saturday and temperatures as a result should feel just a little cooler compared to Friday. Afternoon highs in the upper 50s. Some light showers could move across our viewing area Saturday Afternoon and Evening. Rainfall amounts should be light with forecast model guidance in the 0.25" or less category. Most of the light showers should end prior to sunrise Sunday.

WARMER SECOND HALF OF THE PRESIDENT'S DAY WEEKEND

Sunshine should return on Sunday and temperatures should be warmer compared to Saturday. Expect an afternoon high averaging in the mid 60s after a morning low in the lower 40s. President's Day Monday looks sunny as well and even warmer with afternoon highs in the upper 60s to near 70.

ANYTHING WINTRY?

Above average temperatures should continue through most of next week. A return chance of showers late week and the weekend of the 25th. But, nothing of a wintry nature at this point. It's been a warm season, but it is still Winter. So, "winter" could still show up at times even through March.

As always, you can depend on the StormTrack 9 Team for updates!
