Warming trend continues into the weekend

Friday_Afternoon_Temps.png

A late season chill finally moves out and a warming trend should continue for the last weekend of Winter!

(IMAGE GALLERY ABOVE: #1, WARMER TEMPERATURES FRIDAY AFTERNOON........#2. SOME LATE DAY SHOWERS FRIDAY.......#3. SHOWERS ENDING SATURDAY MORNING.......#4. BREEZY, BUT 60s SATURDAY AFTERNOON)

CLOUDS, BUT WARMER FRIDAY

Friday Morning should still be chilly, but not AS cold as the past few mornings. Temperatures should average right around the freezing mark (20s north and east) and the risk of frost. Clouds should rapidly move in Friday along with an increasing breeze from the south at 10-20mph. Even with cloud cover, temperatures should reach the upper 50s to lower 60s by the afternoon.

As a cold front approaches, a few light showers could occur from the north and west by the mid to late part of the afternoon. A better chance for showers Friday Night

SOGGY FRIDAY NIGHT

As that cold front moves through the Tennessee Valley, a better chance for more widespread showers should continue through Friday Night. Some thundershowers are possible, but the risk of anything severe is very low. Rainfall amounts should be under 0.50". Temperatures will also not be nearly as cold as the southerly breeze and clouds will keep temperatures in the 50s through Saturday Morning.

RAIN ENDS SATURDAY MORNING

Showers should end through Saturday Morning. By midday, most areas locally should be drier. After that soggy start, expect a breezy and drier afternoon with some sun returning and afternoon highs in the 60s. A bit cooler overnight as temperatures drop back to the mid/upper 30s, but above freezing for most of our viewing area.

SPRING BEGINS MONDAY!

Sunday looks partly sunny for the final day of Winter. Just a tad cooler with afternoon highs around 60 under a partly sunny sky.

Spring officially begins at 6:29am Monday! It looks partly sunny with afternoon with highs in the upper 60s for the first afternoon of the season.

As always, you can depend on the StormTrack 9 Team for updates!
