Tuesday AM update on severe weather chances-UPDATE
**We have been downgraded to a MARGINAL Risk for severe weather** Good news. More bark than bite.
As noted in the pictures included, this afternoon will become active. There is still a possibility of strong to severe storms, however a "wide-spread" event is not likely. Still we must watch.
-Storms arriving after lunch. Along the Plateau around midday, and into Chattanooga area around 2-3pm.
-Rain could linger into the commute home, but ending soon after. Rain does linger past sunset east of I-75.
What to expect:
-The leading edge of these storms could contain strong winds. However they may weaken.
-Small Hail is possible in the "stronger storms".
-Heavy Rain during the storms.
-Tornado threat is LOW...but as always we will track each storm.
Most will see up to a half inch. Some a tad more depending on strength of storms.
Rain ends area wide this evening.
Remember, these storms could be loud and windy, but once winds reach 56mph+, they become severe. Let hope this doesn't happen as there is a *chance* they weaken. Right now, we don't have quite the energy or dynamics as folks to the west.
