MIDWEEK SUNSHINE

A beautiful day for Wednesday as sunshine returns along with drier air. A bit cool early with temperatures around 40, but a steady warm up through the afternoon with temperatures averaging in the mid 60s. Some of the mountain tops may stay in the upper 50s.

Chilly for Wednesday Night as temperatures drop into the 30s by Thursday Morning. Sunshine for most of the day Thursday. The combination of the sun and southerly wind could boost temperatures to around 70 by the afternoon.

QUICK ROUND OF RAIN THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING

Clouds should rapidly stream back in late Thursday Afternoon and into Thursday Night. A weak system moves through our viewing area from the northwest through Friday Morning. This should bring some showers beginning during the predawn hours. The rain should quickly taper off from west to east after the morning rush hour through midday, Drier through Friday Afternoon with temperatures in the 60s.

WETTER, CHILLY & POSSIBLY WINTRY INTO THE WEEKEND

What would a March weekend be without Winter trying to sneak in?

Increasing clouds Saturday and cooler with high temperatures in the upper 50s. By Saturday Night, a system moves in from the west increasing the chance for rain locally, but also pulling down some colder air. So, a chilly rain could fall through Sunday Morning as temperatures drop to the 30S. It could become cold enough that the rain could end as a wintry mix sleet and snow Sunday Morning, especially for our local mountains and northern parts of the viewing area. Quick wintry systems like this are possible in March as all it takes is a few hours of having the right upper air conditions.

Once the precipitation ends Sunday Morning, it should remain quite chilly with highs in the 40s. We'll keep an eye on this weekend system!

As always, you can depend on the StormTrack 9 Team for updates!
