Sunny weekend & turning much colder through next week

Saturday Morning Temperatures

A beautiful weekend ahead, but each morning looks down right chilly. It could be even colder toward the middle of next week

A gorgeous first weekend of March! However, temperatures both Saturday and Sunday morning should be around the freezing mark and below freezing away from the city. Patchy frost as well. Each afternoon looks sunny with afternoon highs in the upper 50s and around 60 to the lower 60s Sunday.

The next round of rain locally should arrive during the day Monday in advance of a cold front. Off and on periods of rain should continue through at least the first half of Tuesday as the front moves through our viewing area. Rainfall total projections in the 0.40"-0.90" range. So, not nearly as heavy as the last round of rain. Drier conditions by late day Tuesday and into Tuesday Night.

Temperatures ahead of the front Monday and Tuesday should range in the upper 50s to lower 60s. But, get ready for a midweek chill!

We knew this would happen at some point! A much colder round of air could return for Wednesday and Thursday pushing our local temperatures well below average. Afternoon highs both Wednesday and Thursday could remain in the 40s with morning lows flirting with the freezing mark. As an upper level disturbance rotates through the Tennessee Valley, there could even be some patchy light rain and higher elevation patchy light snow later Wednesday and into Thursday. Right now, any precipitation amounts appear to be too light to cause any issues. Nevertheless, it is something we will keep an eye on.

It's typical for the first half of any March that you have Spring one day, then Winter the next!

As always, you can depend on the StormTrack 9 Team for updates!
