BREEZY SATURDAY & SOME AFTERNOON STORMS
A chilly start to the day with temperatures in the 40s during the morning. Cloudy, then a mix of clouds and sun along with an increasing breeze from the west-southwest at 10-20mph and higher gusts. Temperatures should warm into the 60s for most, but a few spots might even top out above 70. A clipper system should rapidly move through the Tennessee Valley Saturday afternoon. This could bring a round of showers and storms for the afternoon and early evening. Due to the cold air aloft, some storms could produce some hail. Strong wind gusts as well. The Storm Prediction Center has our viewing area in the lowest severe category of "Marginal". Again, then main threats being hail and possibly damaging wind gusts. Most of the showers and storms should end during the evening hours.
Another blast of cold air settles in Saturday Night and Sunday Morning with temperatures dipping back into the 40s.
SUNNY SUNDAY & MONDAY
A drier day ahead for Sunday. Chilly again early with 40s for most. By the afternoon, expect temperatures in the mid/upper 60s. Another unseasonably chilly night Sunday Night with a low in the mid/upper 40s. Monday looks sunny to partly sunny with afternoon highs in the low/mid 70s.
WARMER THROUGH THE WEEK, BUT WATCH FOR RAIN CHANCES
The upcoming work week should have temperatures returning to seasonal levels. Upper 70s Tuesday and lower 80s Wednesday. Mainly 70s Thursday and Friday as showers and storms return.
As for rain chances, a few afternoon showers could return Tuesday Afternoon, otherwise a mix of clouds and sun. A more widespread chance for rain and even some storms Thursday and Friday. That round of rain could result in another soaking of over an inch of rain. We'll continue to updates you on that chance in the days ahead!
