(IMAGE GALLERY ABOVE: FORECAST MODEL ESTIMATES FOR....#1. SATURDAY EVENING.....#2. SUNDAY MORNING......#3. SUNDAY AFTERNOON)

HOT AND HUMID START

A partly sunny sky for Saturday with afternoon temperatures in the upper 80s. The Heat Index could be in the lower 90s due to the high humidity levels.

Stay weather aware for later in the afternoon and into the evening hours as scattered storms could develop. This could disrupt many outdoor plans due to heavy downpours and frequent lightning. Storms could move out late Saturday Evening, but another round could move in during the predawn hours Sunday.

STORMS AT TIMES SUNDAY

Forecast model guidance continues to show that showers and storms could arrive before sunrise Sunday and continue through late morning and midday. Again, the main threat being the possibility of heavy downpours. We could get a break in the storms for the afternoon. Skies could even be a mix of clouds and sun during the afternoon at times. Another round of showers and storms could move through later in the afternoon and into Sunday Night with again the threat of heavy downpours.

So, the period from Saturday Evening to Sunday Night looks to have occasional off and on periods of showers and thunderstorms. Breaks in between each round. High temperatures on Sunday staying mainly in the upper 70s.

COOLER NEXT WEEK

After a Summer-like week, temperatures for next week could drop below average for a change. Any remaining showers from Sunday Night should quickly move out by Monday Morning. The remainder of Monday looks like a mix of sun and clouds with afternoon highs only in the mid/upper 70s. Morning temperatures could cool into the 50s Tuesday Morning along with afternoon highs in the 70s again by Tuesday Afternoon.

The next round of rain could move in starting late Tuesday and into Wednesday. Drier and even cooler air moves in for Thursday with high temperatures by then only near 70 with a lot of local spots possibly remaining in the 60s. By Friday Morning temperatures could dip to the lower 50s and even some 40s possible! A rapid warm up though as upper 70s could be back Friday Afternoon and 80s next weekend.

As always, you can depend on the StormTrack 9 Team for updates!
