Comfortable mornings & dry for a while

Tuesday Morning Temps

A muggy end to the month of May has now changed to a more comfortable start to June. And, this pattern should stick around for at least a few more days.

COMFORTABLE MORNINGS

The dry air in place should stick around through midweek which will allow morning temperatures to drop to between the upper 50s to lower 60s on average. As always, there will be a few spots which could be even cooler in the low/mid 50s. Enjoy the cool temperatures early as it quickly heats up by late morning and the afternoon. Granted, it will not be as muggy each afternoon thanks to the lower humidity, but temperatures should still reach the mid/upper 80s through Wednesday. It should also be mainly dry as far as rain chances. Only a slight chance on Wednesday as a weak front moves through which should reinforce dry air that is already in place. However, the air flow over the Blue Ridge & Smoky Mtns could result in a few late Wednesday Afternoon pop up showers. The remainder of the viewing area staying sunny to partly sunny.

HUMIDITY RETURNS LATE WEEK

More typical June conditions should return just in time for...........Riverbend! Along with the rise in humidity will also mean the gradual return of some pop up afternoon showers. The local coverage or chances of afternoon showers should remain very low through Friday. And, just a slight chance on Saturday. Afternoon highs should average in the upper 80s to near 90, but feel hotter due to the higher humidity levels. Morning lows also not quite as comfortable averaging in the upper 60s to near 70.

POSSIBILITY OF MORE SHOWERS EARLY NEXT WEEK

A slow moving cool front could stall across our viewing area late Sunday through next Monday. This could result in a better coverage locally of numerous showers and thundershowers. Shower chances could also stick around for next Tuesday. "If" the front pushes far enough to the south, then our shower chances could drop of for next Wednesday through Thursday. It's still early, and we will keep you updated on this weather pattern for Riverbend Week!

You can depend on the StormTrack 9 Team for updates!
