Cooler weather for the Veteran's Day Weekend
A cooler weather pattern can be expected for the Veteran's Day Weekend. Sunny Saturday, then cloudy Sunday but rain chances look slim.
SUNSHINE THROUGH VETERAN'S DAY
Sunny for both Friday and Saturday (Veteran's Day). Chilly mornings with temperatures in the upper 30s to near 40 Friday Morning, but dipping into the low/mid 30s by Saturday Morning. The average high temperature for this weekend is in the low/mid 60s. We should stay below that with daily highs mainly in the upper 50s through Saturday. A few scattered clouds could move in by Saturday Night.
CLOUDY & COOL SUNDAY
Cloudy throughout the day Sunday and quite cool. The cloud cover could hold afternoon temperatures to between the upper 40s mountains to low/mid 50s valley. As a cold front approaches and moves through, it could generate a few light showers. The better chances being over the southern and eastern parts of our viewing area. Any rainfall amounts look light with forecast model projections at 0.10" or less.
MILDER NEXT WEEK
After a chilly weekend, we should see a return of a more seasonable weather pattern for most of next week. Overall, a partly sunny sky each day Monday through next Thursday. Afternoon highs should average in the lower 60s and morning lows in the lower 40s. Those temperatures are normal for this time of year.
Rain chances remain slim through midweek. But, showers could return for Thursday and Friday with temperatures remaining mild in the 60s.
POSSIBLY COLDER THANKSGIVING WEEK
First of all, we could see some rain to start next weekend, especially on Saturday the 18th.
Longer range forecast models continue to indicate that the coldest air of the season so far could move in locally and over the Eastern US during the week. Some model data even projects some morning lows in the 20s locally during that week on possibly on Thanksgiving Day.
A lot could still change, but for now that week could be a very chilly one!
As always, you can depend on the StormTrack 9 Team for updates!
