Weather Forecast Prepared, Monday, February 8th, 2016:
One thing we are noticing is it could be a little warmer on Monday perhaps into the upper 40s in Chattanooga. We will see some light rain at first, although some snow showers would still be expected in the mountains, especially late. Now by the time we get into late afternoon and Monday night that will be the time when our chances for snow showers for everyone will get higher and quickly. I still feel we will have snow showers Monday night and into Tuesday. With a dusting in the valley locations and 1 to 3 inches in some of the mountains, especially east of I-75. But then we turn cold! Below freezing for most from Tonight through Midday Thursday!
FORECAST FROM THE STORMTRACK9 WEATHER CENTER:
- MONDAY: Rain and snow showers developing and colder with a high in the low 40s.
- MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY: Snow showers likely with less than an inch in the valleys and 1 to 3 inches in some mountain locations.
