Senior Meteorologist Bill Race graduated from St. Louis University with a Bachelors of Science in Meteorology in 1982 and began his professional career in Jackson, Tenn. In 1987, he made the move to NewsChannel 9.
After 15 years Bill left the studio to use his many skills in the banking business. When the chance came to return to NewsChannel 9 in 2004, he answered the call and never looked back.
Bill's day begins at 3 a.m., preparing the all-important morning forecasts for Good Morning Chattanooga - what many consider the most important forecast of the day.
Bill says, "Weather is a passion for me and it has been so important throughout my life. I really hope that I can continue to help people as they prepare for their day."
