'Kiss My Bass' photo contest underway

Out of 56 entries submitted as of July 10, Terry Owensby (pictured top left) from Soddy Daisy won week one of the 'Kiss My Bass' contest with his bragging-sized bass. Austin Barclay (pictured top right) from Lafayette (GA) won week two with another bass. In spite of most of the submissions so far, entries do not have to be bass photos. (Photos: Contributed)

These days with a smartphone in everyone's pocket, pictures come easy. If you are a fisherman with a prize catch, chances are your big fish makes it way to your social media pages before it makes it to the livewell (or gets released back into the lake).

While you're posting, you might as well bookmark this page as well. You may end up with a $100 Gift Card from Sportsman's Warehouse or even a $500 Grand Prize Gift Card.

For the second year Sportsman's Warehouse and KZ106 radio are sponsoring the "Kiss My Bass" contest. There are eight weekly prizes. The first two have already been chosen.

Terry Owensby from Soddy Daisy won week one with his bragging-sized bass. Austin Barclay from Lafayette (GA) won week two with another bass.

In spite of the contest name, and most of the current submissions as well as the first two winners, it does not have to be a bass photo to enter. As the contest marketing text reads, "Do you have a bass to boast about? A flounder to flaunt? A grouper worth gloating over? Enter your picture here for a chance to win with Kiss My Bass!"

At the end of the contest one of the eight weekly winners will be selected for the Grand Prize, a $500 Sportsman's Warehouse Gift Certificate.

If you want or need another form of public display to feed your ego, Sportsman's Warehouse is also having a bragging board contest as well. Drop off your pictures at the store (6241 Perimeter Dr., Chattanooga, near the intersection of Hwy. 153 and Lee Hwy.) as well for a second chance to win prizes.
