Jacob Huesman threw for two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Chattanooga to a 24-17 victory over Elon in the final regular-season game for both teams.
Huesman finished the day with 234 yards on 13-of-25 passing and 21 carries for 109 yards for the Mocs (6-3, 5-3 Southern Conference), who finished with their third winning season in the past four years.
Terrell Robinson caught four passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns, including a 64-yard bomb from Huesman that gave the Mocs a 24-10 lead in the third quarter.
Thomas Wilson threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns for the Phoenix (3-8, 1-7), and Aaron Mellette caught nine passes for 188 yards and a touchdown. It was Mellette's 18th scoring reception this season. He concluded his career with 23 100-yard games and 4,254 receiving yards. He also had 304 catches and 44 touchdowns.
