Lady Trojans Lose in TSSAA Tournament Game
A tough loss for the Soddy Daisy High School Lady Trojans in Murfreesboro Friday at the TSSAA Spring Fling Tournament.
They took on Gibbs High School in a game that, if they won, would allow them to advance to the finals.
The game was close, then appeared to be a Gibbs rout, but the Lady Trojans proved their mettle by catching up in the final innings.
The game was tied at 1 run apiece going into the 4th inning.
In the bottom of the 4th, Gibbs scored five runs, making the score 6-1.
But the Lady Trojans scored 5 runs in the top of the 5th, making it tie game once again.
It wasn't enough, though.
In the bottom of the 7th inning, Gibbs scored the winning run. Final score: 7-6.
That meant the season ended for the Lady Trojans on Friday.. but it was a remarkable season, nonetheless.
