Former Vol Charged With Murder
Former Tennessee Vol Janzen Jackson has been charged with the murder of 43-year-old Frank Herrera, according to a report from a Los Angeles newspaper.
Jackson is alleged to have strangled Herrera, who's described as
Jackson's mother's long time boyfriend, and leaving his body in the back
of a car for three days.
Jackson has been jailed since September and has plead not guilty.
The safety was one of the nation's top prospects in 2009. He signed
with Tennessee but was ultimately dismissed from the team. He went
undrafted and spent time with the New York Giants and Toronto Argonauts
of the CFL. by Dave Staley
