The Team Chattanooga who presented the bid to three hundred voting delegates at the ASA/USA Softball Annual Meeting in Oklahoma City, OK included representatives from the Chattanooga Amateur Softball Association, Chattanooga Sports Committee, Chattanooga Youth & Family Development and Chattanooga Choo Choo.
"Chattanooga is lucky to have a team that works well together and cares about bringing softball events to the city. Our community can make it happen from winning the bid to hosting the event," said Kim Swafford, Executive Director of Chattanooga ASA.
Chattanooga competed for the 2015 National Championship against Des Moines, IA, Montgomery, AL, Normal, IL, Sioux Falls, SD, Spartanburg, SC and Tupelo, MS.
