Woman says Cleveland man fired handgun at her head at point-blank range
CLEVELAND, Tenn. —
A Cleveland man is under arrest after a woman told police he fired a handgun at her head from point-blank range Thursday.
Cleveland Police and the Bradley County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident at 3550 Adkisson Drive NW.
Carmen Neloms told officers that 37-year-old Wade Donshonnell Keitt had pointed and fired the gun at her in front of his apartment.
Officers found a 9 millimeter handgun along with a spent casing in the parking lot. At the command of officers, Keitt came to the door and was taken into custody.
Cleveland Police spokesperson Evie West says Neloms was not injured.
Officers discovered Keitt has several felony convictions, and that the gun used in the incident had been reported stolen from Cleveland on December 21st, 2017.
Wade Keitt was transported to Tennova for medical evaluation and then taken to Bradley County Justice Center.
He has been charged with aggravated assault, unlawful carrying of a weapon, fire-arm possession during dangerous felony, reckless endangerment, and both theft of property and possession of stolen property.
