Two charged in Alabama in death of Jasper man Tuesday
STEVENSON, Ala. —
Jackson County deputies have charged a woman with murder in the investigation of the death of a Jasper, Tennessee man, according to our sister station WAAY-TV in Huntsville.
The outlet says deputies were called to a home on Sharon Drive in Stevenson at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
There, they found Joshua Todd Smith of Jasper dead inside a home.
WAAY reports deputies arrested 26-year-old Christopher Kenneth McCallie of Stevenson and charged him with murder.
A day later, deputies also arrested 30-year-old Brittany Joyce Smith, also of Stevenson, and also charged her with murder. Police haven't said whether she's related to the victim.
Both suspects are in the Jackson County Jail with no bond.
WAAY reports authorities have not released a motive in the case.
