Startup Week Chattanooga continues to grow
(WTVC) Chattanooga —
Year three for Startup Week Chattanooga will be the biggest yet.
There are five full days of events packed with speakers, workshops, and panels from business leaders and entrepreneurs that will showcase Chattanooga's Innovation district and startup community.
Last year there were about 120 events.
"When we put a call out for events we ended up getting close to 175. So, further proof that there's really no stopping this community," Stephanie Hays with Startup Week Chattanooga said.
This year there are more categories for events in hopes of making it easier for people to find things that appeal to them.
The first event this year is this Sunday. That event is the Innovation District Office Hop.
"(It's) a self guided tour of the Innovation District, and some offices opening are their doors to kinda say come in and see what we're doing," Hays said. "This one is specifically geared towards people that perhaps don't think this world is for them, haven't seen it, or are curious or haven't found the right time to come out."
The Innovation District Office Hop is from 2-5 on Sunday.
