THP: Horse killed in truck fire that shut down I-75 S in Bradley Co. Friday morning

TDOT Smartway cameras show vehicle fire spreading into wood off I-75 in Bradley County.

UPDATE:

A horse died in an early morning semi-truck fire on I-75 south in Bradley County Friday morning, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).

THP Lieutenant John Harmon says a horse was in a trailer, and died in the fire.

The fire was reported around 3:30 a.m. Friday morning, and closed off I-75 southbound near mile marker 17 until just before 7:30 a.m.

It was still slow going for drivers, though.

Interstate 75 south bound near mile marker 17 is closed in Bradley County after a semi truck caught fire.

The fire was reported around 3:30a.m. Friday morning.
