"Secret Santa" donates $5200 at Salvation Army kettle in Fort Oglethorpe
FORT OGLETHORPE, Ga. —
The Salvation Army says a visit from Secret Santa is timely for the organization since funds have been stretched due to the cold temperatures and opening shelter.
Kimberly George of the Salvation Army says fifty-two one hundred dollar bills were donated on Friday at the Fort Oglethorpe, K-Mart Red Kettle.
"We have been busy with cold weather shelter, Angel Tree, serving Thanksgiving Meals and Red Kettles," says Major Robert Lyle, Area Commander for The Salvation Army of Greater Chattanooga. "We are so grateful for this large donation! It couldn't come at a better time!"
Salvation Army still needs volunteers, and monetary donations. Donations can be made here or by calling 423-756-1023.
