Prisoner at the podium

The burn of the lights, the stares of people and a podium are terrifying to most people. Now imagine embracing the challenge while in prison.

Tuesday, in a special report Hannah Lawrence introduces us to men who are practicing public speaking in a place that most would say is already intimidating.

Walker State Prison runs Georgia's only Faith and Character based program. Inside the barbed wire, watched by guards, they talk about rehabilitation a lot in hopes of preparing men for the days after they walk out these doors.

On Fridays, nearly 35 prisoners practice public speaking. They have the opportunity to give prepared speeches and also learn how to speak off-the-cuff.

Hannah Lawrence has more on this story coming up Tuesday at 6.
