One killed, two ejected in Summerville crash
SUMMERVILLE, Ga. —
UPDATE: Georgia State Patrol confirm 11-year-old Kendrick Hines was killed in the crash Tuesday night.
The GSP says charges of DUI Child Endangerment, driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, serious injury by vehicle, and two charges of no seat belts are all pending at this time.
Georgia State Patrol says two cars collided in Summerville just after 8:30 Tuesday night, ejecting two passengers and killing one.
The GSP says a 2006 Kia Spectra was travelling North on Georgia 1 in, when it crossed the center line. The Kia spun clockwise and struck a 1999 Nissan Quest in it's front. The Kia flipped and ejected two passengers before stopping in the other lane.
33-year-old Kourtney Renay Hines was the driver of the Kia. Both passengers were ejected in the crash.
The backseat passenger died from injuries, and a 7-year-old was airlifted to Erlanger.
A 16-year-old was driving the Nissan.
45-year-old Marly Deleon Medida, an 8-year-old passenger and the driver of the Nissan were all taken to a nearby hospital.
The GSP says charges are pending in the crash.
