A Murray County teacher is reportedly out of the classroom, for now, after a video posted to Snapchat appeared to show her using offensive language.

Mike Tuck with Murray County schools tells NewsChannel 9 that the school system is investigating teacher Jennifer Cooley.

The school system found out about the video Thursday morning, and it has now been taken down. Several NewsChannel 9 viewers have sent us a video of a phone playing what they claim is the video, but we have not been able to confirm whether that clip is accurate.

Tuck says Cooley met with school officials Thursday morning and has been removed from the classroom.

Tuck said Cooley teaches a law enforcement class and is an ex deputy with the Murray County Sheriff’s Office.

Tuck wouldn’t elaborate on whether she was suspended or fired.

He called the video regrettable. He says they are taking it very seriously.
