Kimball Police Chief Tim Allison says a total of five bombs were found in a home on 199 Allen Lane during a probation check, along with weapons and materials to create more bombs.

Chief Allison says a woman and a child were home when they arrived on the scene around 4:30pm Central Time.

Chief Allison says Owens' girlfriend told officers she had been trying to leave the house since Saturday, and that Owens was holding her against her will.

The Chattanooga bomb squad safely detonated the bombs Monday night.

Police arrested Christopher Owens, who lives at the home. Eight other people were living in the house, including children.

Chief Allison says Owens was taken into custody without resistance, and cooperated with officers. Police cleared the scene around 10:00pm Central Time.

Owens has been charged with eight counts of reckless endangerment, one for each of the people, and is also charged with kidnapping, felon in possession of a firearm, domestic assault, possession of explosive components, and drug possession.

Kimball Police say Owens was on probation for theft over $1,000.
