Surveillance video of the suspect, provided by the Dalton Police Department.

The Dalton Police Department wants to lend a jewelry thief some fashionable interlocking bracelets to go with the more than $600 worth of earrings he stole from Walmart this morning, and police need your help to do it.

Investigators are hoping that someone will recognize surveillance pictures of the suspect and help police put him in handcuffs.

Dalton Police spokesman Bruce Frazier says the incident happened at approximately 3:00 am at the Shugart Road Walmart.

Frazier says a man entered the store and went directly to the jewelry counter which was not attended by a store employee.

Surveillance video shows the suspect broke into the counter and filled his pockets with earrings, worth a total of $634. The man was then seen wandering around the store for approximately 15 minutes before leaving. He left in what appears to be a silver Toyota sedan with Army decals on the back windshield.

The suspect has close cropped brown hair and glasses. He wore jeans, sneakers, and a black jacket into the store.

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to please contact Officer Blake Edwards at 706-278-9085, extension 9315. Officer Edwards can also be reached by email at
