Group of men try to rob others at clothing store, but victims return fire
NASHVILLE, Tenn.--Metro Police are investigating the death of a man late Thursday night after two groups opened fire at a shoe and clothing store.
Police say shortly after 11pm, a male called dispatchers saying he may have shot several people who shot at him. The incident took place at a shoe and clothing store located at 3101 Clarksville Pike.
Officers responded and found a subject with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but died from his injuries. Meanwhile, two other men showed up at Centennial Hospital with gunshot wounds, one life threatening, the other not.
Police say the deceased victim and a group of others were hanging out at the business when a group of suspects entered through an open back door and tried to rob the victims. The suspects fired several shots and the victims returned fire.
Everyone fled the scene after teh shooting, but police say none of the victims were shot to their knowledge, only the men who tried to rob them.
