Former Chattanooga Police Officer under federal investigation

A former Chattanooga Police Officer who resigned last week after being placed on leave will be represented in federal court by Chattanooga Attorney Lee Davis, NewsChannel 9 has learned.

Officer Bryan Moody was put on administrative leave on May 5th for an administrative investigation.

He submitted his resignation the following Tuesday.

Police have not given any reason for Moody's resignation.

Moody had been with the department since 2008.

NewsChannel 9 is working to learn more about the nature of this federal investigation.

Davis tells NewsChannel 9 via email, "I represent Bryan Moody in a pending investigation. We are cooperating with the investigation. Until the investigation is complete, there will be no further comment."
