Fire damages St. Elmo home
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. —
No one was hurt when a home caught fire Saturday morning in St. Elmo.
It happened on the 1300 block of W. 46th Street.
Firefighters say the fire was in the kitchen but it took longer than usual to get there, they say due to an extreme hoarding situation.
A homeowner told firefighters they were cooking when the kitchen caught fire.
Damages are estimated at $40,000 dollars.
