Dunlap police arrest registered sex offender accused of publicly fondling himself
DUNLAP, Tenn. —
A man on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry has been arrested after Dunlap police say neighborhood surveillance video shows him touching himself inappropriately in public.
Last Thursday, Dunlap PD (DPD) received reports that a suspicious man was standing on Hickey Circle, possibly staring at three children.
DPD say a resident saw the man and confronted him, at which point the suspect said he was simply out walking.
Investigators found that none of the children saw the man.
Monday morning, DPD detectives were able to get security video from a nearby resident. Officers say the video shows 30-year-old Brian Eugene Williamson walking on Hickey Circle and fondling himself.
Officers found Williamson and interviewed him before arresting him on charges of indecent exposure.
Williamson is currently on the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, classified as a Violent Against Children Sex Offender.
Williamson was taken to the Sequatchie County Jail, where he is being held without bond. His first court appearance is set for Friday, April 20th in Sequatchie County General Sessions Court.
